Alex has always found music to be a huge part of what makes him tick. His lyrics and writing style range from soulful to full on confrontational. His very powerful and original sounding voice drives the songs to core levels. Feeling the flow of life, Alex has had many influences absorb into his musical palette. His broad range include the likes of Michael Jackson, Cinderella, Run DMC, Beastie Boys and Metallica in the 80's, up through Nirvana, SoundGarden, AIC, Faith No More, Tribe Called Quest and Cypress Hill in the 90's. To the more recent music of such acts as DJ Shadow, J5, The Roots and Black Eyed Peas to name a few. He has always had a diverse and open mind when it comes to listening to music and creating music.

He has seen music creation and study from many different angles. But always with the same thoughts of expressing his feelings and thoughts through music. His first attempts manifested in a metal band in HS(90-94), up through playing acoustic guitar and singing in college(94-98) with his roommate and now present guitarist of Jiggawatt, Brett. To the now present combination of singing and scratching on the turntables in Jiggawatt. Turntables being something he has been into for 3 years now, garnering a large hip hop collection over this time period and DJ'ing on his free time.

Brett grew up in DC with the sounds of classic rock: Beatles, Zeppelin, Who, Hendrix, etc. His first major concert was the Who's 25th reunion tour. In the mid 80s he was hooked to the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Anthrax among others. Master of Puppets blew his mind - wore the tape down on that one. Brett picked up the guitar at 14 and practiced feverishly with speed and distortion on his mind.

After a few years and a couple of HS projects in DC the scene seemed to stagnate... Then there was funk! He heard a live recording of Maceo Parker at a party and re-engineered his musical style while entering college in Boston. There the musical floodgates broke and he opened his mind to hip hop, alternative, jazz, latin, electronica, and more. This is also where he met Alex, the lead singer of Jiggawatt. They attempted a couple of projects in bean town before moving to San Diego. In San Diego, Alex and Brett experimented with acoustic, electronic, and even progressive metal. Nothing really hit the spot until they formed Jiggawatt and picked up Yogi Brian and Desean. They have been flying high ever since.

Hailiing from England, music has brought Charles around the world before coming to join Jiggawatt in San Diego. His past bands include Cockroach, Legal Racket, Sonic Avengers, Lexx, and the International Playboys.
